Don't you just love it when new quilty toys arrive in the mail? I was expecting these, but not quite so quickly. My family have become accustomed to the fact, that when my wedding anniversary comes around, there's a high probability I'm possibly needing 'something' in the quilting department. Rather than just buy a gift, they always ask, 'Mum, what would you like for an anniversary present?' This year, when asked that by Ash, I said circle templates. Little did I know when I said it, she intended to buy me all of them, from Linda's Electric Quilts!! So now I have a bit of practise to do, but at least it will be fun practise. Just to get a size comparison of the smallest template, you can see a 10 cent (Australian) piece and an (American) quarter next to it. It's only 1". Despite it being the smallest of them all, I keep looking at it with suspicion, as I think it's going to present the biggest challenges to stitch around. I'm looking forward to trying all the quilting designs an arc can offer. If any of you have some great pointers or tips your willing to share, I'd love to hear them. I'm going to need all the help I can get in mastering the curve.
Until next time, happy quilting.-Julie.
