With the quilting done on Ash's quilt, the frame is free to be loaded with the next big one. I have quilted several now that have the piecing the same as this, but each one looks a little different because of the fabric selections and also the quilting designs chosen. I have to say, I love the look of curves in quilting. Hopefully when things settle down this end, (I'm telling you, it's crazy at the moment) I will be able to do more of the quilting that I dream of doing!
Taking photo's of the quilt today was near impossible. The wind blew and blew. I originally laid the quilt on the lawn, but before I could get the camera ready, a gust of wind had the quilt blown half way across the front yard! So to take a photo, I needed an 'extra'. Initially when Ash held the quilt, it nearly became a huge kite! After a few different shots, which were not successful, we settled on the technical process of, "stand still and hold it up by one hand" method. It's not perfect, but it shows the quilting.
Tomorrow, the wedding quilt continues. With another new fabric introduced today, the range of fabrics are all starting to come together nicely.
Until next time, happy quilting.-Julie.
