AMQF.......Part 2.

A few things that I picked up while over in Adelaide at the AMQF. Thread, fabric, marking, cutting and clamping tools were must haves (for me anyway) to bring home. I would have brought home more things, but as some of the things were only at the show in limited quantities, they sold out fast.
I was fortunate enough to be able to take classes with local and international teachers. Megan Best, Renae Haddadin, Myrna Ficken and Vicki Jenkins taught amazing classes. Three of my four classes covered cross hatching. Different tutors covered it from a different perspective, so I was able to get a good theoretical understanding of how to do it. Let's hope when I put that knowledge into practice, it works out as easy as it was demonstrated. The other class I did covered fillers in quilting. It was a great class and taught me what fillers are fun to do and which fillers I don't really care for. As Septembers challenge was fillers, and it wasn't finished, I was able to try out some of the designs I learnt on the weekend and actually finish it. In the coming weeks, some of the quilts that I have booked in, will hopefully have some of these new quilting elements added to them! Until next time, happy quilting.-Julie.

    1. I'm blown away! Only today I was talking to George that I needed to buy Lisa Calle's DVD. Sounds like you got some good stuff at the show. I have to say, I liked the inside circles too.
