A busy week in both studios.....

Well, we can finally share with you all that Heritage Keepsakes has undergone an expansion of sorts. On an earlier post, we mentioned that there were things happening at this end. We can now share with you the news that there are 2 studios operating at Heritage Keepsakes. One is where ideas and projects start, the other is where they are finished.

A project started this week, has made it to the flimsy stage. This design is from the book titled Jelly Roll Quilts, by Pam and Nicky Lintott.

Here is a snapshot of the new studio, Number 2!! It's really hard to decide now which studio I want to spend time in, as they both are really nice places to be creative in.

Just a close up of the current project being quilted. I am a lover of feather motifs in quilting, so are feather quilting all the borders. This is my first attempt on a quilt, using a method developed  by Sally Terry. Her book, 'Hooked on Feathers' is really helpful in getting feathers to work for you, without the headache.

Here's a close up of the new machine in the studio. I have to say, this machine is amazing!! APQS certainly know how to make a machine that is just a delight to use. She, (aren't all sewing machines a she??) has been nic named 'Pearl', so when you hear us refer to the 'Pearl Cave', you'll know we are talking about what's happening in studio Number 2.
